Sunset Beach Pavilion in Treasure Island: Visiting and Planning

Sunset Beach Pavilion is a city beachside facility in Treasure Island’s Sunset Beach neighborhood. Plan a casual visit around current access, and contact the city directly if you want to use the pavilion for a gathering.

Use current information after the restoration

The City of Treasure Island’s June 3, 2026 newsletter announced a June 4 grand reopening celebration for the restored pavilion after hurricane damage. Older articles discussing reconstruction can therefore describe a different stage of the work. That historical announcement does not replace a check of current facility access for your date.

Look for the latest information from the city before traveling specifically to the pavilion. Public works, weather and organized activities can affect how a facility is used. Do not assume an undated photograph shows the exact layout or condition you will encounter.

Plan the southern Treasure Island location

The tourism bureau’s Treasure Island access guide identifies parking at Sunset Beach Pavilion and the nearby Ring-Billed Gull lot around 80th Terrace and West Gulf Boulevard. Check the current signs where you park, and keep residential access clear. A parking space does not guarantee that the pavilion itself is available for exclusive use.

Consider the route from the car to the place you intend to sit. If someone has mobility needs, ask the city about the current surface, access route and restroom availability rather than relying on broad claims that every beach facility is accessible in the same way.

A visit and an event need different planning

For a simple stop, check opening information, bring only the items you need and share the space respectfully. For a birthday, reunion, ceremony or other organized gathering, ask the city about reservations, capacity, permitted activities and any required approvals. BeachDay cannot grant permission to use a city venue.

Keep event seating and catering arrangements separate from personal beach equipment planning. Do not assume a beach rental package meets a venue’s event requirements, or that bringing gear reserves an area of the beach.

Combine the pavilion with the coast

Our Treasure Island sunset guide explains date-specific timing and choosing a view. For a longer stay, compare BeachDay’s current beach gear packages. Equipment is delivered to and collected from your accommodation, and guests carry it to the beach and set it up. Request a quote with your lodging address and dates so the team can confirm the offer and handoff details.
