Bars in St. Pete Beach: Live Music, Rooftop Views and Corey Avenue

St. Pete Beach offers several different evenings: live bands at Jimmy B’s, rooftop drinks in Pass-a-Grille, or pool and darts on Corey Avenue. Choose the part of the beach city and the kind of night first, then fit dinner and the journey back around it.

Three bars, three parts of St. Pete Beach

All three choices below are in St. Pete Beach. Downtown St. Petersburg is a separate destination across the peninsula, so its Central Avenue bars are a different evening plan. Within the beach city, Corey Avenue, the Gulf Boulevard resort corridor and Pass-a-Grille also give you distinct places to spend the night.

Jimmy B’s: an evening built around the band

Jimmy B’s has a Gulf-facing outdoor deck and entertainment spaces at Beachcomber Beach Resort. Use its music calendar to select your month and date, then check the performance details. The venue has an outdoor stage and a late-night indoor stage; confirm where your chosen act will play if an open-air setting matters to you.

The bar welcomes visitors beyond hotel guests, but parking needs a separate plan. Its FAQ reserves the main hotel lot for resort guests and directs other drivers to paid parking across the street behind 7-Eleven. Validation is discretionary and intended for a full dine-in visit; do not budget on a drink-only stop earning free parking.

Seating is first come, first served, and the venue does not accept reservations. A group should allow time to meet and find space before the performance it wants to hear. Pick this option when the music and beach setting are the reason to go. Plan this as a bar visit; arrange any use of hotel pools or other resort amenities separately with Beachcomber.

The Hurricane: make Pass-a-Grille the evening

The Hurricane’s Hurricane Watch rooftop looks over Pass-a-Grille and the Gulf. This is the southern-neighborhood choice for a rooftop drink, with outdoor twin bars and a rooftop menu. The operator also advertises rooftop TVs for football. If a particular game is the reason for your visit, confirm the broadcast and rooftop service directly.

Because the rooftop hosts private events, confirm its service for your chosen evening if the view is essential. Ask for the rooftop’s hours when you contact the venue. A practical sequence is an early meal in Pass-a-Grille followed by time on the roof while there is still daylight to see the neighborhood and water.

Staying in the Gulf Boulevard resort corridor does not put you on the Hurricane’s doorstep. Treat Pass-a-Grille as the destination for the evening, including the return journey, instead of inserting it as a hurried extra stop.

Swigwam: Corey Avenue drinks and a game of pool

Swigwam Beach Bar is on Corey Avenue, away from the beachfront resort decks. The operator lists a pool table, steel-tip darts, foosball, a jukebox and an outside patio. It also describes a smoke-free interior with separate outdoor smoking areas.

Drinks include beer, wine and a full liquor selection, with rum runners and bushwackers among the frozen options. The bar also has TVs for sports. It suits a group that wants a game of pool or darts alongside drinks, with the flexibility to arrive after dinner.

Build the evening around one area

For a resort-based stay, dinner followed by the band at Jimmy B’s can make the bar the final destination. For Pass-a-Grille, arrive in daylight, have dinner and leave time for the Hurricane rooftop. For a Corey Avenue evening, make dinner in that district and a game at Swigwam the plan. These are separate options; visiting all three adds travel to a night that can work well in one area.

The St. Pete Beach dining guide can help you choose a meal in the area you have picked for the evening. If your group includes anyone under 21, confirm evening admission with the chosen venue before committing to the plan.

If you are still choosing a base, the St. Petersburg and St. Pete Beach lodging guide explains the downtown-versus-Gulf choice. The Clearwater Beach comparison can help if you have not settled on the beach city yet.

After your beach outing, return chairs, umbrellas and other equipment to your accommodation before going out. BeachDay’s St. Pete Beach delivery page explains accommodation delivery and pickup for portable gear that guests carry and set up themselves.
